Find people you know
VerbinderApp’s Contacts list shows people from your accessible phone contacts whose numbers match registered VerbinderApp accounts. The Participants picker uses these registered contacts too. It does not list everyone in your phone’s address book.
- Save the person’s phone number in your phone’s Contacts app. Include the country code, such as +33 for France.
- Allow VerbinderApp to access that contact.
- The person must register with the same phone number you saved.
- Once VerbinderApp syncs your contacts and finds the match, the person can appear in Contacts and the Participants picker.
How matching works
For example, if you save Emma’s number and Emma registers with that number, she can appear in your list. Emma does not need to save your number for this to work.
For you to appear in Emma’s Contacts list, she needs your registered number in the contacts she allows VerbinderApp to access.
What happens when I allow contact access?
VerbinderApp reads the contacts you allow it to access and sends their names and phone numbers to its servers to find registered matches.
This does not send invitations to those people. You decide whom to invite.
See the Privacy Policy for how VerbinderApp handles this information.
Why is someone missing?
Check that their number is saved correctly, including the country code.
They must have registered with that same number.
VerbinderApp must have permission to access their contact.
Contact syncing must have completed successfully.
If you allowed access to selected contacts only, someone outside that selection will not be available for matching.
Sharing a download link or installing the app is not enough by itself: the other person must complete registration.
Contact sync error
If the app shows a contact-sync error with Retry, tap it to try again.
If nobody appears
An empty list means VerbinderApp has not found registered matches among the contacts currently available to it. You can use Invite Friends to share the app with someone. See Invite someone to VerbinderApp.
