Why does VerbinderApp use my phone number?

Your phone number identifies your VerbinderApp account and helps people who already have your number connect with you.

No username or calendar email

You don’t need to exchange a separate username or find out which email address someone uses for their calendar. When a saved phone number matches a registered VerbinderApp account, you can select that person and invite them to a plan.

Why do I receive a verification code?

During registration, VerbinderApp sends a code by SMS to confirm that you can receive messages at the number you entered. Use your own number and check the country code before requesting the code.

Is my phone number the only information I provide?

Your phone number is used for registration, but it is not the only information in your account. You also set up your display name. You can personalize your profile further with a photo and status.

Does the other person need to save my number?

No. If you have someone’s registered number in your accessible phone contacts, they can appear in your VerbinderApp Contacts even if they haven’t saved your number.

They can also receive your invitation without saving you first. When an invitation comes from a number that is not in their contacts, VerbinderApp shows an unknown-sender notice.

Does registering send messages to my contacts?

Registering or allowing contact access does not automatically invite your contacts. You choose when to share the app or send someone an event or time-poll invitation.
